Wow. That was a really long month. I feel as if I haven't had time to breathe since I came back from the Public Library Association Conference in March. Two solid weeks of doing homework for 5 plus hours a weeknight and all day and late into the night on weekends, while my boss was out sick so that I had to get up extra early for work too! I was soooo tired, that after I finally got the bulk of the layout done for my web design project, I curled up in a ball on the floor reading bad novels and eating chocolate and trying to work the kinks out of my system for about a week. I was just a wreck.

Now I can actually breathe again. I still haven't done more than glance at my final paper for my other class, but I'm hoping I can do a big spate of work on it this Wednesday - Saturday. It's due Monday, so I suppose I really need to do that spurt! But I have trouble planning on allocating more than 15-20 hours for an annotated bibliography, even though I know realistically it will take at least 4-5 hours to find all the articles I'll need to read - then another 4-5 to read them - which to me still leaves a perfectly reasonable 5-10 hours to write annotations.

heck, in undergraduate I used to write entire 7 page papers in 2 or 3 hours and get perfectly decent grades on them. My work habits have definitely improved over time, that's all there is to that.

Hope everyone is doing well. If I can ever get myself back to the gym, work the mouse-laptop-heavy-bag kinks out of my shoulders and hips, and figure out where I'm going to live and work at the end of next month, all will be well here.

Current bright spot: I just was given a 25 dollar gift certificate to the bookstore by a clerk at my work who will miss me when I leave, and I can use it to buy the new book I really really want to read (Definitely Dead by Charlaine Harris) which conveniently reaches stores the very day after my big paper is due. Coincidence? I think not! Thank you kind universe and kinder clerk for giving me such a delicious carrot on the end of that stick there!
