I reread "The Price of Blood and Honor" today, ending a week-long binge on all three of her books - "The Well-Favored Man", "A Sorceror and a Gentleman", and "The Price of Blood and Honor". *sigh*

Why can't there be, umm, about 15 more books in this series? And why hasn't there been a new one since the 90s? Oh, I know, the third book said "conclusion" right on the cover copy, but I want all of the story! When did Freia and Gaston first fall in love? How exactly did they meet the Battlemaster? When did Josquin get cool? Tell me all the details... every last one.

This is the beauty of books that are great at world-building, but for some reason really well built worlds don't seem to invite the same heedless rush of action-filled sequels.

With that in mind, the books there should absolutely be more of:

more books by Robin McKinley. The fairy tale ones are great, but what I really want is more Damar, more about Sunshine's world, or just plain more universes of her own creation.

(this continued later... nachos now...)
There need to be waayyyyy more books by Wilhelmina Baird. She only wrote 4: "Crashcourse", "Clipjoint", "Psykosis" and "Chaos Come Again". They are all awesome and she should have become as famous as William Gibson. I blame sexism. They were the best girl cyberpunk type books ever.

And all my friends loved them at 16 and nearly died of shock when we realized how *old* she was.
