For my library science class I've been required to create a truly staggering number (to me, at least) of online accounts on places like LibraryThing and del.icio.us. And of course MySpace.
So my question is this: as I think about finally getting a proper webpage together in the next ~ 6mos, should I link the whole mess together? I mean, what are the advantages/disadvantages of maintaining a fractured web presence. Do I care if oddballs can know not only all the books I own on LibraryThing, but also that it is actually me who owns them? Obviously a webpage would be a pre-professional one, looking ahead to being a real author, and would thus include real name/possibly real photos, and other inclusions that make my geek-handle loving 90s soul squirm.
Thoughts?
Oh, and for those of you who play WoW, was I way outta line to include it as a "social networking site" in our class BB on social networking this week for my library class?
