No Child Left Behind

vcmwOur library youth services class is discussing "No Child Left Behind" tonight. The mood (many ex or current teachers) is a bit grim, in a humorous way.
One of my classmates came out with this, and I asked her permission to post it:
"education policy quite similar to foreign policy - fear and punishment"
It just seemed so insightful, especially after reading Molly Ivins's "Bushwhacked" this week.
