another piece of my geek luddite-ness bites the dust

I'm going to have to buy a cell phone. I concede the point. Mea culpa, mea culpa, mea maxima culpa.

Because it's just not fair to my poor friends to keep using theirs while traveling as a call back number, and because it's increasingly expensive to use pay phones ever since they instituted that 35unit charge on using calling cards for long distance phone calls. Especially now that all of my peers only have cell phones a 4 block call becomes a long distance call henceforth. Grrr. Your adoption is driving my adoption, my dears.

Well, I suppose that's all right. I'm a bit of a hermit, but I'll manage.

Hopefully the rest of today's schedule will work out all right.

Ahhh, a nice day over.

So I went to all sorts of fabulous and networking worthy programs today (and learned some wonderful things about topics as diverse as library construction project management and service to teens), and I've got a bag full of free books, including free copys of Shojo Beat and Shonen Jump (yayayayay!) and other good things as well. I hit a bullseye with the dart at a booth, which shocked me because I partly met my husband by being *bad* at darts, but, well, I guess the big metal post running behind the dartboard helped, hmm?

Ok, so I'll see anyone who might be reading this later tonight. Better run to the T line now.
