Voting meh-ness
Sep. 12th, 2006 12:12 amSo I live in one of the states with the most mellow laws about voter registration in the ENTIRE COUNTRY and I still may not manage to get my act in gear to vote tomorrow because.... *long drawn in breath* I still haven't gone to get a new MN id, and I didn't preregister to vote and I can't find my passport and none of our utilities are in my name in the new place and we can't find any of our friends who are sure that *they're* already registered to vote to register me at the polls sooooooooooooo.....
Jason has his passport and the utilities are in his name so he'll try to register and see how that goes, and then *if* he can register, he'll see if he can vouch for me, and failing that I can see if Suzanne can register and vouch for me, which she is happy to try and do.
And I just tore my apartment up six ways from Sunday looking for said passport which I have had no luck finding as I put it in an Especially Clever Safe Place when we moved, and we all know what a generally brilliant idea that is when putting things away.
GRRRRRR!
And of course I didn't figure all this out until after deciding I should vote and printing out polling place and candidates and looking them all up online etc etc.
GRRR. grr. grr?
And I'm very tired and must get up at 5:30 a.m. tomorrow.
grrmph.
