Kudos where it goes
Dec. 5th, 2006 10:53 amSo there's a combination of shivery awe and a struggle against lesser, biblically disapproved emotions of the kinds that blight the human soul as I note that the angelic woman who designed, drew, printed, and prepped my wedding invitations for free is now a seriously successful comic artist, both her and her husband putting out well received stuff for Oni Press, and working with some (to me, anyway) fairly awe inspiring names in the business. I mean, Brian Wood! W00t, as they say (I read on Wikipedia that she's lettering stuff for Brian Wood, he of the excellent, awe inspiring "Channel Zero" that made me drool for like, a year).

On the bright side - how much do I like being a librarian-type? She and I have pretty thoroughly dropped out of touch, so it was cool to see her name (and her husband's) pop up on a list of great graphic novels on YALSA-BK.
So, those of you who got my wedding invites and actually kept 'em? You are now holding early collectible work of a famous artist type! *grin*
